Purpose:
The Genealogy Society of Hernando County organized with the goal of preserving local history and vital records. Projects have included indexing burial records from funeral homes; abstracting older county records; finding and recording cemetery sites; copying tombstone information; and publishing The Last Wildcat: The Short Record of T.B. Ellis. Sr. as edited by Roger Landers, a past president of GSHC. (see below for details on how to order your copy)

Membership:
Society membership is available to anyone interested in doing family history research. Our members are researching in various parts of the U.S. plus Canada, England, Germany, and other foreign countries. MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS include completion of a membership application and payment of annual dues.

Dues
Current dues are:
$20 for an individual
$25 for family (husband/wife)
$12 for associate (out-of-town, non-voting)

Meetings:
Our Society meets 10 A.m.-12 noon the third Friday of January through November at the LDS Family History Center, 21043  Yontz Road, Brooksville, Florida. Visitors are always welcome to join us.

Publications:
The Last Wildcat, edited by Roger Landers, is available at regular GSHC meetings for $6.00 per copy or by mail for $7.50 per copy by sending a check to the address below. Please include your name and mailing address. The book will be sent to you via USPS.
